Julley! Welcome to Leh! Enjoy the fresh mountain air at 3000meters altitude but do not be too over enthusiastic. Give yourself time to relax and acclimatize.
Ladakh is world renowned for ancient Buddhist monasteries and with quite a few of them in and around Leh, so begin the sojourn with a trip to the monasteries. Visit the Palace and Monastery of Stok – the Palace is thesummer residence of the royal family. Onward to Shey – the old summer capital of Ladakh, look around at Tikhsey – also called ‘The small Potala’ and head to Hemis-the largest monastery of Ladakh. These historical places will let you have a peek into ancient Buddhist culture.
Nubra Valley, also known as The Valley of flowers. It was a significant destination on the Silk Route. Perched at 3000m altitude, it has a fine blend of mountains, deserts and greenery. If you want you can experience a camel safari on the sand dunes. Visit the hot springs in Panamic and the monastery of Diskit, known for its huge statue of Buddha after an adventurous drive across the highest motorable pass in the world, Kardungla (5602m).

Take a day’s rest after the difficult drive and visit some important tourist spots in Leh including; Leh-Shanti Stupa, Old Palace and Maytrey monastery. You can get a panoramic view of Leh from these monuments, making for amazing photograph opportunities.
It’s time for some action! Get ready to witness an all new landscape, colored mountains, and Changla, a high pass and the azure wonder of nature- Pangong Lake. Some people call this- The lake most bathed in blue tones. The turquoise tones of this lake make for a peaceful retreat. The colors of the lake can change in a moment. It’s wonderful to watch nature create perfection.

Head to Korzok village, situated near the lake, an archaeological site that showcases the ancestral way of living. Our camp will be located 2 km away from the village, where the nomads live.
