Departfor Agra. Start your trip with a visit to the Red Fort and the Tomb of Akbar the Great.
Visit the breathtaking Taj Mahal at sunrise and then take a trip to the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. In the evening board an overnight train to Allahabad.
Reach Allahabad, located at the Sangam, a sacred confluence of three holy rivers: Ganges, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati. Transfer by road to sailing point near Mirzapur. Enjoy a cruise on the Ganges, the holy river of India. Stop for dinner in the campsite on sand banks and soak in the true flavours of India.
Set sail post breakfast and enjoy the rural life in the Gangetic plain. Head towards Chunar Fort, made by Maharaja Vikrmaditya the King of Ujjain to commemorate the stay of his brother Raja Bhartihari.Evening stop for a bonfire dinner at campsite.
Next morning start cruising along the Ganges. Stop at a village to visit a local school and interact with the locals. In the afternoon, reach Varanasi, a temple town. Stay at a riverside hotel.
Head to Sarnath Buddhist stupa and shrine. The religious will be happy as today we take a temple tour of Varanasi visiting Vishwanath Golden Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas. Walk through the old city, a maze of narrow alleyways leading to the holy Ghats. Stop by for the Ganga Aarti ceremony held at sunset.
Early morning enjoy a boat trip on the Ganges, and watch the pilgrimstake a purifying dip in the river. Now fly to Delhi and explore some local sites including- Lodhi Garden.
Next morning take an express train to Haridwar. Transfer to Rishikesh, the gateway to the Char Dham Himalayan pilgrimage circuit.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Rishikesh, walking on the banks of the sacred Ganges. Visit the Lakshman Jhula suspension bridge and pay homage to the nearby temples.
Drive upstream into Shivalik hills. Take some time to relax at the campsite located on a sand beach along the rapids of Ganges. Enjoy a session of whitewater rafting on the Ganges and spend the evening at the camp.
Spend a leisurely morning in the sand beach and head towards Haridwar, one of the most sacred cities for Hindus later in the day. Visit Har-ki-Pauri holy Ghat, a site for the religious to take a dip in the Ganges. Watch the mesmerizingGanga Aarti ceremonyin the evening. Transfer to Railway Station and take an express train back to Delhi.
