Arrive in Delhi and head to the hotel. As you drive through central Delhi soak in the imperial Delhi with lush green gardens, the important monuments like the India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House. Glance through the British Connaught Place and the hustle bustle surrounding it.

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing of whatDelhi has to offer. Be charmed by the monuments at Old Delhi, including the mosque of Jama Masjid and Mughal Red Fort. Walk through Chandni Chowk bazaar to relish the old city. Come towards New Delhi and spend the rest of the day visiting the old monumentsof Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and enjoy some time at the Lotus Temple.

Drive in Rajasthan and head towards Amber Fort. Amber was once the feudal capital of the region, until Maharaja Jai Singh II founded Jaipur in 1727. Feel like royalty as you ride on an elephant to reach the Fort. Proceed to Jaipur and check into the hotel.

Start your day at the Pink City with a visit to the City Palace, Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds) and the Observatory of Jantar Mantar. Stroll around the lively bazaars to unearth the colourful and intricate Rajasthani art and craft. Around Jaipur, visit Galta Hill and Gorges, known for beautiful temples and water tanks.

Drive to Agra en route visiting the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, once a Mughal capital. At Agra visit the Red Fort and Itmad ud Daulah Mausoleum- manmade wonders. Warm up to the evening with a walk on the bank of Yamuna River watching the sun set behind the Taj Mahal- the glory of Mughal India.

At dawn visit the pristine Taj Mahal and thereafter, head to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. Visit the breathtaking Fort, which features Jain, Hindu and Sikh temples (Surya Temple, Teli ka Mandir, Saas Bahu, Gurudwara). Make a trip to the regal palaces of the city (Man Mandir Palace and Gujari Mahal).

Drive to Orchha en route visiting the temple-covered hill of Sonagiri and the elegant Govind Palace in Datia.

Once the capital of Bundelkhand kingdom, Orchha is now a small pleasant town set in the serene bank of Betwa River. No trip to Orcha is complete without a visit to the Jehangir Mahal and Raj Mahal, royalty in all its glory and the temples of Ram Raja, Chhatturbhuj and Laxmi Mandir. In the evening take a stroll along the river to admire the funerary chhatris (umbrellas).

Head to Khajuraho, a tiny village world renowned for its temples that are adorned with erotic sculptures. Soak in the unique architecture and statues that have been intricately carved a thousand years ago.

Board a train or flight to Varanasi, the most sacred place of pilgrimage for Hindus. Walk through the old city; a maze of narrow alleyways leading to holy ghats and definitely visit the“Ganga Aarti” ceremony held at sunset.

Begin your day with a boat ride on the Ganges- the holy Indian river. You will see pilgrims take a dip in the river. Move on for a tour of this temple city hoping from one temple to another: Vishwanath Golden Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple. Visit the Sarnath shrine where Buddha first taught Buddhism after his enlightenment.
