Covelong
Visit Mahabalipuram- the only surviving shore temple of India. It is a fine example of Dravidian art. It has imposing towers, sculptured walls and multi-pillared halls. There are many other interesting sights as well.
Day 3
Pondicherry
Drive to Pondicherry and relax on the beach today.
Day 4
Chennai-Trivandrum
Board the flight to Trivandrum and head towards a resort at Kovalam.
Day 5
Kovalam
Relax at Kovalam, where a sheltered beach and a shallow sea provideexcellent bathing facilities. Get mesmerized by the scenery around the place. Visit the nearby fishing village.
Day 6
Kovalam
Go to Trivandrum and visit Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple – the most magnificent temple dedicated to Vishnu reclining on Adisesha. Go to the Government Museum and check out the collection of cotemporary Indian art, Paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, Roerich, Miniature paintings from the Mughal and Rajasthan school, Persian, Chinese and Japanese art.
Day 7
Varkala
Drive to the pristine Varkala beach, which is also a popular Hindu Pilgrim centre.Pay homage at the 2000 year old Janardana Swamy Temple and the Nature Centre, the two main attractions of Varkala Beach. It has breathtaking scenery of the High cliffs rising over the beach.
Day 8
Houseboat
Drive toThottapally and check into a traditional Kettuvallam Houseboat.Enjoy a boat ride through the lush green backwaters of Kerala and observe the lifestyle of the locals. Spend the night on board the houseboat.
Day 9
Kochi
Disembark the boat at Allepey and drive to Kochi. The Portuguese, Dutch and English trading companies built their fort, factories and houses here centuries ago. Relish in a sensationalperformance of theKathakali Dance Show in the evening.
Day 10
Kochi
Make a trip to the Dutch Palace, The Jewish Synagogue – the oldest in India, and observe the Hebrew inscriptions on stone slabs, gold and silver crowns. Also go to St. Francis Church – India’s oldest European church, Bolghatty Palace, Hill Palace Museum and Bird Sanctuary. Enjoy a relaxingHarbour cruise at sunset.
Day 11
Goa
Take a flight to Goa. Goa is one of the finest beaches in India and has more fun & frolic than just sand and sea. Spend the day relaxing on the beach or indulge in water sport activities (optional).
Day 12
Goa
Take a tour of Old Goa. Head to old Goa Churches, Bassilica of Boom Jesus, Sri Mangueas Temple, Dona Paula & Miramar Beach. Spend the afternoon at leisure swimming and sun bathing.
Day 13
Departure Transfer
Spend the morning at leisure enjoying some free time. Later take a connecting flight to onward destination.
