Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Yangon (Rangoon)
Reception at the airport (usually in the morning) and transfer to your hotel. Discover the city, the royal lake and at night the Chinatown Rangoon. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2
Yangon
In the morning, visit the amazing floating market of the small town of Dhala which you can travel to from Rangoon in a ferry. In the afternoon, visit the colonial district of Rangoon and at sunset discover the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3
Bagan
In the morning, fly to the city of Bagan, which was founded in the second century AD. In the afternoon, visit the temples and craft workshops. Your day ends with a cruise on the Irrawaddy River. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4
Bagan
In the morning, walk into the vibrant market of NyaungShwe before visiting the golden pagoda Shwezigon. In the afternoon, take a tour of the temples and DhammayangyiSulamani. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5
Mandalay
In the early morning, catch your flight to Mandalay. Visit the palaces and temples of the most sacred city of Myanmar, the former royal capital. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6
Mandalay – Sagaing – Ava – Amarapura – Mandalay
Morning departure to Sagaing hill which is dotted with a thousand pagodas. You will then visit the ancient capital Ava aboard a coach before joining Amarapura, the immortal city. At dusk, discover the longest teak bridge in the world called U Bein. Back to Mandalay for the evening.Overnight at hotel.
Day 7
Pindaya
After breakfast, take off from Mandalay to reach Heho in Shan State. Drive to Pindaya, a quiet mountain town located on Lake Botoloke. Visit the market and tea plantations. In the late afternoon, venture into the prehistoric caves of a thousand BuddhasPindaya.Overnight at hotel.
Day 8
Pindaya – Kalaw
In the morning, visit the Pindaya market before taking the road to Kalaw, a former resort founded by the British. Enjoy a tour of the city and its colonial buildings. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9
Thar Mine Khan
Depart for a trek in the morning [6h walk] , which will take you through fields and hills to the village of Thar Mine Khan. Along the way, encounter ethnic Danu, Pa-Oh and TaungYoe. Lunch and dinner with the locals.Night at the Monastery Mine Thar Khan.
Day 10
WaGyiMyaung
Continue your trek through forests and the steepest hills[6h walk] . Meet the ethnic Pa-Oh on the way. Lunch and dinner with the locals. Night at the Monastery WaGyiMyaung.
Day 11
Khaung Doe – InleLake
In the morning, depart towards the village of Khaung Doe, situated on Lake Inle[4h walk]. After lunch, return to your hotel by boat.Overnight at hotel.
Day 12
Inle
Leave in the morning by boat to discover floating villages of the lake and the Nga HpeChaung Monastery. Visit workshops manufacturing cigars and silver jewellery if you wish. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13
Inle – Indein
After breakfast, walk around the local market where Inle meets the surrounding tribes. In the afternoon, take a canoe to the village of Indein to discover its magnificent stupas, renowned throughout Myanmar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14
NyaungShwe – Yangon
In the morning visit the market of NyaungShwe, a charming town located on Shan Lake. Also visit the ‘docks’ in the city where products are assembled and then distributed throughout Myanmar. In the afternoon, catch the flight to Yangon. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15
Departure from Yangon
In the morning, relax or shop in the Bogyoke market, filled with jewels and rare fabrics. In the afternoon; transfer to the airport for your international flight. End of our tour service.
